My ford exploer is making odd noises?

Ok I have a 00 ford explorer. lately whenever I go over a bump, I hear this loud creeking sound that appears to come from the passenger side tire area. I can't figure out what is is or where its coming fom. I tried putting grease in some of the dry areas where I generally hear the noise. I even hear the creeking sound when I rocked the car. Anyone have any idea what it could be? also I don't know if its related but when I turn the steering wheel to the right, I hear a grinding noise. One last thing, it only does this when it wants to. any thoughts? Thanks
