How long from the first tentative wobbly steps to actually walking?

It was different with each of my kids. My daughter still crawled a lot after learning to take steps because she was very fast at it. It took her a couple months to drop the crawling. My son pretty much never looked back as soon as he figured out how to walk...or make that run. He pretty much skipped walking.
